How To Fix A Deep Dent Without Over Stretching
Well if you are a tech who struggles to fix deep dents.. well you aren’t alone. It’s one of the toughest types of dents when it comes to paintless dent repair. Most super deep dents are unrepairable.. or are they?
In this tutorial you’ll see in real time, un-edited (for the most part) and in raw format how it was done by myself, Myke Toledo. So welcome to another PDR training tutorial that will hopefully inspire you to be the best you can be. First, I’d like to give the backside of the story..
I do have to mention, I did not believe (at first) I could do it. Matter of fact, I told the client right off the bat to see a body shop. For some reason, he didn’t leave but rather talk about cars.. go figure? As a little time went on in our conversation about cars, I kept looking at the dent, feeling the dent and observing.
The more time I had to think, the more I thought, what do I have to loose trying? So I told him the same and he agreed because his other alternative was a body shop and thats what he was going to do anyways. Lucky for you and me, I decided to record the repair and was prepared for the worst.. not fixing it. I was going to chalk it up as a “Win or Learn” PDR tutorial. Sometimes I think it’s beneficial to see other techs struggle and not always win but more importantly still learn.
Paintless dent repair is always about the journey. That’s why I haven’t been bored in over 30 years doing PDR. It’s never quite the same. And if it is, you aren’t challenging yourself enough!
So you’re going to see some serious struggle, self talk and motivation to myself as I get through this repair. Basically, it’s okay to doubt your skill but never doubt yourself. Go slow so you go faster. You’ll see what I mean when you watch. Enjoy the video and hope it helps.
